Brief History of the Department
The Department of Islamic History was established in 1968.A.D with B.A Islamic History UG Course and latter MA in Islamic History PG Course started in 1980.Islamic History was a subsidiary subject for Pre degree (PDC) III Group students till it delinked from the University. Professor C. Ummer was the founder Head of the Department. Now the Department has 7 faculty members and Associate Professor I.K Jayadev is the Head of the Department.
